during these lessons i was planning my video. then i started to work on my wikispace.i made the navigation of my wikispace. what i planned to put on my video is that i would do a movie maker with pictures. i started to put some pictures on my computer and put them in movie maker. i still need to find more pictures which is what i'm doing. it's easy to put the pictures in movie maker but its not very easy looking for the pictures in albums when you have millions of albums. i also have to choose the right tranzition at the right time.

Plan and design

today's lesson we worked on the plan and design. i did an etra design just incase i needed one. i chose the second design because i like it more and i think it looks better than the other designs. after i did another design i wrote about two paragraphs and i did a rough draft about the plan and when to hand in my assignments. i don't have all the dates so i just did what i knew.

animoto

today i started an animoto acount. it was really annoying to make an account because i had to redo it a lot. i finally made the account, so now i had to start a video. the only pictures i had in my folder were cat pictures from last year's project; so i used them. i didn't have any music on the computer so i used the examples they gave me. i found this weird music and it matches the pictures. the loading of the website was so slow so i had to wait for a long time for the video to load. the lesson ended and it still was loading. the good thing is it finished loading after the bell by few seconds. i didn't get to see the video but it got sended to my e-mail so i saw it some other time. this is the link for my animoto video:http://animoto.com/play/457342618d5b43c11a51dd10c1fa7e2b

planning the wikispace

this lesson we planned how we want our wikispace looks like and what will it include. i started with listing all my subjects. then i added arrows around to see which link will go on which page. i colored each subject with its reflection and artificial a color different to the other subjects. i divided the home page into 3 links. a link for the subjects, a link for community and servise and a link about me.

i made a wikispace this lesson. it was easy to make and quick. i changed arounf the color of the background and tryed to do few changes like to put a picture (logo). it worked but the picture wasn't that good so i just left it like it was before. this is the link to my wikispace:

HTML

Today I looked explored how html works. html stands for hyper text markup language. I went to a website that shows you how to use html. I tryed how to use it by changing the size of the text and the color of the background. If you want to make the text bold and big you put the code h1 and this <> around it before the text and /h1 with these <> after the text. If you want to change the background color to red you shoud put the code bgcolor="the color" next to where it's written body in brackets. I tryed many other html codes and i found it very complicated. I only did these codes because they were the easiest : http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_basic .

Digital Portfolio

Today i read page about portfolios and degital portfolios. They can be very useful in many different ways. It happens to be easier to transport your work on a digital portfolio than any hard copy version. The digital portfolio is good for students because it can save their work on a disk, webpage and a CD. It aslo helps students by showing their class assignments, occupational experience and community service on their digital portfolio. An advantage of a digital portfolio is it helps your self confidence by improving your technology skills. A disadvantage is that someone could plagirize your work by copying and pasting your information.

Digital Portfolio Investigation

The first blog i saw was too dark. The girl who did this blog had cool links and I liked the first page other than the backround becasue it was very dark. Her blog had some links that are still under construction as she calls it. On her page "about me" is not clear because of the colors she had (which were very blue). Some of her links were not found so i didn't see all her pages. On her personal staement she had it in bulletpoints which is easier to read than full lenght paragraphs. The second blog i saw was too blank. it didn't have creative links and tranzitions. her personal statement was in almost three long paragraphs. i didn't like the idea because it has a lot of writing. Her digital portfolio page was in bullet points and it had the reflection beside it. only 2 links were unclickable but the rest were good. she had a page with what she did for her community and service. this is the link to her webblog:http://www.isdweblogs.org/qareena/

What I think of blog

I think that the blog idea is very useful to people who use the computers a lot. It's like Facebook and similar websites where you meet people from different parts of the world. The good thing about it is you can find your friends and send blogs to each other if you don't find them on msn. some people like me don't use websites like this so i don't find it that interesting. The colored hats help me to write my blog and it makes it easier so i know what to write for each lesson.

Sometimes it might not sign you in and it is frustrating unless you sign in automaticly. I don't want to check my blog everyday to check if someone posted something.

My First IT Lesson

Today was my first IT lesson. I was excited because I had a new teacher. First thing I did was making an acount at del.icio.us. Making this acount was easy and quick.I then made this acount at blogger.com. It took me while to make the acount because I didn't know what to put for some questions like the name of the acount. The good thing is that i finished before the end of the lesson, i just needed to finish this post.
